Tempe Chamber “Hot Topics & Lunch” Event featuring Michael Hool

Hot Topics and Lunch – Using Crowdfunding to Start, Build and Finance Your Business

At this Hot Topics program, we will explore crowdfunding, a new phenomenon that aggregates small amounts of money from many people to finance and fund an initiative. It usually occurs on Internet platforms and can range from funding a t-shirt design to starting a company. In 2012 more than one million individual campaigns were established globally and crowdfunding raised about $5 billion in 2013. We’ll show you how to get in on the action.

Our two expert speakers will address crowdfunding through traditional means as well as delve deeply into equity crowdfunding and new legal and financial requirements surrounding it.
